National Geographic Traveller UK: Photography Competition 2024

Almost two years ago, I left Cornerstone OnDemand to focus on my passion: travel and photography. I planned a three-month trip across Southeast Asia, exploring Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam, capturing images every day. Last week, I received wonderful news: I am one of the winners of the National Geographic Traveller UK Photography Competition 2024. My photo of a young worker in Cambodia (above) was selected in the Food & Travel category.
The judges said: “The light streaming through the windows creates a beautiful chiaroscuro, illuminating the scene. This man delicately peels the tofu, crafting soy strings. The moody, high-contrast lighting makes this photo truly shine.”
Being published in the July/August issue of the National Geographic Traveller magazine is a dream come true and a huge honour. I thank the National Geographic Traveller team for this recognition.
